The Sennheiser EW-DX SK / SKM-S Base Set (S1-10, article 509464) is a digital wireless starter system from the Evolution Wireless Digital range for users who want to choose their own microphone capsule or lavalier. It contains an EW-DX SKM-S handheld transmitter with mute switch, an EW-DX SK bodypack transmitter, a two-channel EW-DX EM 2 half-rack receiver and two BA 70 rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, plus antennas and accessories as listed by the supplier. Microphone capsules and lavaliers are sold separately: the handheld accepts Sennheiser and Neumann capsules via the standard capsule interface, and the bodypack takes 3.5 mm jack lavalier or headset mics. The system tunes 606.2 to 693.8 MHz in the S1-10 variant, with up to 88 MHz switching bandwidth, 1.9 ms latency and 142 dB input dynamic range. BA 70 batteries give up to 12 hours of use, transmitters have persistent E-Ink displays and charging contacts for the optional CHG 70N charger, and the receiver supports AutoScan, AES-256 encryption and control via Control Cockpit, SoundBase or the Smart Assist app. The receiver measures 212 x 44 x 189 mm.
