The Sennheiser GZL RG 8x - 5m is a 5 metre low-loss coaxial antenna cable with a BNC connector at each end. It is used to connect remote or remotely mounted antennas, antenna boosters and antenna splitters to Sennheiser wireless microphone receivers and in-ear monitor transmitters, so antennas can be placed in a better line of sight to the stage instead of on the back of the rack. The RG 8x cable is the low-damping version in the GZL range (the thinner RG 58 version has higher loss), which matters over longer runs and at UHF frequencies. It is rated to 4,000 MHz with 50 ohm impedance, has a 6.8 mm cable diameter and a capacitance of 82 pF/m, and attenuation is quoted at 16.8 dB per 100 m at 400 MHz. It is suitable for temperatures from -40 to 70 °C.
