The Sennheiser Headmic 4-EW in beige is an ultra-lightweight headworn condenser microphone for vocal and speech use, suited to presenters, fitness instructors, theatre, worship and singers who need hands-free sound with good feedback rejection. It uses a permanently polarised KE 4 cardioid capsule (4.7 mm) on a twist-proof 1.1 mm boom that can be mounted on the left or right side, and the adjustable metal neckband weighs about 7 g, so it stays comfortable and inconspicuous over long wear. The modular design lets the cable, clips and windscreens be exchanged individually. This EW variant is supplied with a 1.6 m cable terminated in a 3.5 mm jack plug for Sennheiser bodypack transmitters with a 3.5 mm input (Sennheiser states Headmic 4 is compatible with all its bodypack transmitters). Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz (plus or minus 2.5 dB), sensitivity 8 mV/Pa and maximum SPL 143 dB.
