Sennheiser MD 42 Dynamic Omni-directional Reporter's Microphone, XLR-3M, Extra Long, Without Switch

The Sennheiser MD 42 (article 005173) is a rugged omnidirectional dynamic reporter's microphone built for live reporting and broadcast work in rough conditions. Its omni pattern gives excellent speech intelligibility without the reporter having to point the microphone precisely at an interviewee, and Sennheiser tuned it to be forgiving of wind and handling noise: a two-ply sound-inlet basket improves protection against wind and pop noise, and the rubber-mounted capsule reduces handling noise in the hand. The extra-long 250 mm metal body gives room for a station flag or windshield and a comfortable grip. This version has no on/off switch. Specifications: 40 - 18,000 Hz, 2 mV/Pa sensitivity, 350 ohms nominal impedance, 3-pin XLR connector, 49 mm diameter and about 360 g. Finish is black with a refined steel sound-inlet basket.
