This bundle pairs the Sennheiser MD 421 Kompakt dynamic microphone with the MZH drum clamp, ready for miking toms, snares and other drums on stage or in the studio. The MD 421 Kompakt carries forward the sound of the long-running MD 421 and MD 421-II in a smaller multipurpose body: a cardioid dynamic capsule with a 30 Hz - 17 kHz frequency response, an internal bass tube for extended low end and the ability to handle very high sound pressure levels without distortion. The mounting clip is permanently attached to the microphone, and the drum clamp screws into that clip to create a fail-safe mount directly on the drum rim, so there is no need for a stand. Construction includes a rugged frame, stainless-steel basket, an inner chassis enclosure against dust and humidity, and a gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector. Nominal impedance is 250 ohms and sensitivity is 2 mV/Pa. The microphone weighs 159 g.
