Sennheiser MD 445 Dynamic Super Cardioid Handheld Microphone, High Rejection, XLR-3M

The Sennheiser MD 445 is a premium dynamic handheld vocal microphone designed for loud live stages. Its newly developed, very lightweight aluminium-copper voice coil responds quickly to transients, giving a direct, detailed vocal sound, while the tight supercardioid pattern offers high rejection of off-axis sound and strong resistance to feedback from monitors and backline. It is the more focused, more assertive sibling of the MD 435, aimed at singers on high-volume stages who need gain before feedback. The capsule is spring-mounted to reduce handling noise, a hum-compensating coil suppresses electromagnetic interference, and the housing is rugged metal. Frequency response is 40 Hz to 20 kHz, sensitivity 1.6 mV/Pa, nominal impedance 245 ohms, output on a 3-pin XLR-M connector, with no on/off switch. The microphone measures 47.5 mm in diameter by 174 mm long and weighs about 329 g. A matching MM 445 capsule is available separately for Sennheiser wireless handhelds.
