Sennheiser MD 46 Dynamic Cardioid Handheld Microphone, Low Wind/Handling Noise

The Sennheiser MD 46 (article 005172) is a dynamic cardioid handheld microphone designed for interviews and reporting in harsh environments. Omnidirectional reporter mics pick up everything, including background noise; the MD 46's cardioid pattern focuses on the person speaking, increasing clarity while rejecting ambient sound - ideal for ENG crews working in crowds or at events. A double-layer grille basket reduces wind noise and vocal popping, the capsule is mounted for low handling noise, and the long handle is well balanced for extended use with a station flag. It has a metal housing and no on/off switch. Specifications: 40 - 18,000 Hz frequency response, 2 mV/Pa sensitivity, 350 ohms nominal impedance and a 3-pin XLR output. It measures 49 mm in diameter by 250 mm long and weighs about 360 g.
