The Sennheiser ME 3 (article 508928) is a headworn cardioid condenser microphone made for use with Sennheiser wireless bodypack transmitters. It suits presenters, fitness instructors, worship leaders, singers and actors who need hands-free sound with the mic kept at a constant distance from the mouth. The cardioid capsule gives good feedback rejection on stage, and the pre-polarised condenser element handles up to 150 dB SPL, so it copes with loud vocals as well as speech. Frequency response is 50 Hz to 18 kHz and sensitivity 1.6 mV/Pa. The mic terminates in a 3.5 mm jack (gold-plated per the supplier listing) on a cable of about 1.6 m, matching the 3.5 mm input of XS Wireless and Evolution Wireless bodypacks. The neckband headset is lightweight at about 60 g. Sennheiser covers it with a two-year warranty. A transmitter is not included.
