The Sennheiser MEG 14-40-L-II B is a 40 cm gooseneck microphone for conference rooms, council chambers, lecterns and boardrooms. It has a single flexible gooseneck section for precise positioning, a matt-black finish and an integrated Sennheiser KE 10 pre-polarised condenser capsule with a cardioid pickup pattern for clear speech pickup while rejecting sound from the rear. The "L-II" version adds an integrated green light ring near the capsule, which shows delegates and presenters when their microphone is live. It connects via a 5-pin XLR (XLR-5M) plug, which carries both the audio signal and power for the light ring. The gooseneck is RF-shielded against intermodulation from nearby wireless devices and phones. Overall length is 450 mm and it weighs 147 g. Sennheiser specifies it for use with the MAT 153-S B table stand and the SL Tablestand 153-S DW (sold separately), and it is made in Germany.
