The Sennheiser MKE 2-ew-3 Gold (article 009832) is the beige MKE 2 lavalier terminated in a locking 3.5 mm jack for Sennheiser evolution wireless (ew) bodypack transmitters. The beige finish blends with skin tones for on-camera and stage use. The MKE 2 is a sub-miniature omnidirectional clip-on lavalier that Sennheiser positions for television broadcast and theatre. Its accurate frequency response gives natural, uncoloured sound, and the dual-diaphragm Umbrella Diaphragm design keeps sweat and moisture off the capsule so it keeps performing through long shows. The small size makes it easy to conceal while still giving a textbook omnidirectional polar pattern, and the very thin, low-mass diaphragm has excellent transient response. The stranded, stainless-steel reinforced cable is strong and keeps contact noise low, and two supplied sound-inlet caps let the engineer tailor the high-frequency response.
