Sennheiser MKE 200 On-camera Super Cardioid Microphone, Pre-polarised Condenser

The Sennheiser MKE 200 (article 508897) is a compact directional on-camera microphone designed to give vloggers, content creators and small video crews noticeably cleaner sound than a camera's or phone's built-in microphone. A supercardioid, pre-polarised condenser capsule focuses on the subject in front of the lens while rejecting off-axis noise, and the capsule sits inside an integrated wind protection mesh with an internal suspension that keeps handling and mount noise down. It needs no battery: the microphone runs on the plug-in power supplied by the camera or mobile device, and it mounts on any standard cold shoe. Sennheiser supplies both a 3.5 mm TRS cable for DSLR and mirrorless cameras and a TRRS cable for smartphones, plus a furry windshield and drawstring pouch. Sennheiser quotes a 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, 120 dB maximum SPL and a 20 dB(A) equivalent noise level. The body measures 69 x 60 x 39 mm and weighs only 48 g, so it adds very little to a small rig. It carries Sennheiser's two-year warranty.
