The Sennheiser MKE Essential Omni Black (508249) is an omnidirectional lavalier microphone designed for demanding everyday use on live stages, in theatre, houses of worship, conferences and broadcast. It uses the newly developed KE 4 capsule, derived from Sennheiser's Broadway-standard MKE 2, delivering a warm, distortion-free signal even at high sound pressure levels (up to 140 dB). The patented umbrella diaphragm makes it sweat-resistant, the construction is robust yet small and inconspicuous, and it can be worn on the head or body with a range of accessories. The cable (1.6 m) is non-detachable. Frequency response is 20 - 20,000 Hz, equivalent noise 28 dB(A), nominal impedance 1,000 ohms and weight about 16 g. This version is black and terminated with a screw-locking 3.5 mm jack for Sennheiser Evolution Wireless (ew) and compatible bodypack transmitters.
