The Sennheiser MM 445 is the wireless microphone capsule (module) version of the MD 445 dynamic vocal microphone. It screws onto Sennheiser handheld transmitters that use the standard Sennheiser capsule thread, such as evolution wireless and Digital 6000/SpeechLine-style handhelds, turning them into a high-rejection supercardioid vocal mic with the same aluminium-copper voice coil and direct, detailed sound as the wired MD 445. It is aimed at singers on loud stages who need maximum isolation from monitors and backline. Specifications: dynamic transducer, supercardioid pattern, 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, 1.6 mV/Pa sensitivity, 163 dB maximum SPL, dynamic range above 145 dB(A) and an equivalent noise level of 18 dB(A). The module measures 51 mm in diameter by 67.5 mm and weighs about 114 g. It is sold as the capsule only; the handheld transmitter is purchased separately.
