The Sennheiser MMD 835-1 BK is a black dynamic microphone module (capsule head) from the evolution 800 series, designed to screw onto Sennheiser wireless handheld transmitters. It lets a wireless handheld take on the sound of the wired e 835 vocal microphone, and it can be swapped onto a transmitter to change its character or to replace a damaged head. Sennheiser lists it as compatible with the handheld transmitters of the evolution wireless G3 and G4, evolution wireless D1, AVX, SpeechLine Digital Wireless and 2000 series. The cardioid pattern gives a forgiving, consistent pickup that suits a wide variety of voices and presenters, as well as general speech in meeting and worship venues. Frequency response is 40 to 16,000 Hz and free-field sensitivity is 2.1 mV/Pa. The module has no on/off switch of its own; switching is handled by the transmitter. It is about 50.5 mm in diameter, 72.3 mm long and weighs around 112 g. The transmitter is not included; this is the capsule module only.
