The Sennheiser MMD 845-1 BK is a black dynamic microphone module (capsule head) from the evolution 800 series, designed to screw onto Sennheiser wireless handheld transmitters. It lets a wireless handheld take on the sound of the wired e 845 vocal microphone, and it can be swapped onto a transmitter to change its character or to replace a damaged head. Sennheiser lists it as compatible with the handheld transmitters of the evolution wireless G3 and G4, evolution wireless D1, AVX, SpeechLine Digital Wireless and 2000 series. The supercardioid pattern gives especially high feedback rejection, making it a strong choice for lead vocals on loud stages with floor monitors. Frequency response is 40 to 16,000 Hz and free-field sensitivity is 1.6 mV/Pa. The module has no on/off switch of its own; switching is handled by the transmitter. It is about 50.5 mm in diameter, 77.3 mm long and weighs around 119 g. The transmitter is not included; this is the capsule module only.
