The Sennheiser MME 865-1 BK is a black condenser microphone module (capsule head) with a supercardioid pickup pattern, designed to screw onto Sennheiser wireless handheld transmitters. It brings the sound of the e 865 vocal microphone to wireless systems: high presence and good feedback rejection make it well suited to lead vocals and speech on stage. Sennheiser lists compatibility with the handheld transmitters of the evolution wireless G3 and G4, D1, AVX, SpeechLine Digital Wireless and 2000 series. It is a common upgrade or replacement for an existing handheld, letting users swap from a dynamic capsule to a condenser without changing the transmitter. Frequency response is 40 - 20,000 Hz and sensitivity 1.6 mV/Pa. The module has no switch, measures 50.5 mm in diameter and 72.3 mm in length, and weighs 92 g. Note that the handheld transmitter itself is not included.
