The Sennheiser MZQ 800 (article 004711) is Sennheiser's standard microphone stand clamp for its handheld vocal and instrument microphones. The supplier lists it for the MD 42 and MD 46 reporter/presenter microphones, and Thomann lists it as fitting the evolution microphone range, for example the e 835, e 840, e 845, e 865 and e 935. It is an original Sennheiser part, often bought as a replacement when the clamp supplied with a microphone has been lost or broken, or as a spare for a rental and touring stock, a church or school sound system. The clamp is a black plastic, open-top design: the microphone presses in between the two flexible arms and is held securely, while a hinged joint with a locking screw at the base lets the angle be adjusted. The base has a standard threaded socket for a microphone stand, and Thomann's product images show a brass thread adapter supplied with it for stands using the other common thread size. Supplied as a single clamp; microphone and stand are not included.
