The Sennheiser SKP 100 G4-B is a plug-on transmitter that turns a wired dynamic microphone into a wireless one for the evolution wireless G4 100 series. It plugs straight onto the XLR connector of a handheld microphone, making it popular for documentary work, mobile journalism, event videography and vox-pop interviews where a reporter wants to keep using their favourite handheld mic. This B-range version tunes 626 - 668 MHz. It works with G4 100 series receivers (for example the EK 100 G4 camera receiver or EM 100 G4 rack receiver) and offers a range of up to 100 metres. Audio frequency response is 80 - 18,000 Hz, signal-to-noise ratio at least 110 dB(A) and THD at most 0.9%. It runs typically 8 hours on two supplied AA batteries. The transmitter measures approximately 105 x 43 x 43 mm and weighs 195 g. Note it is intended for dynamic microphones; it does not supply phantom power.
