The Sennheiser MZQ 1 (article 575292) is a replacement microphone clamp for Sennheiser handheld wireless transmitters. It holds the SKM handheld microphone securely on a microphone stand or boom and tilts so the mic can be angled towards the performer or presenter. Sennheiser lists it for the SKM handheld transmitters of the XS Wireless (XSW), evolution wireless G4, Evolution Wireless Digital (EW-D) and EW-DX series, and retailers also list it for earlier evolution wireless G3 and 2000 series handhelds. The clamp screws onto a stand with a standard 5/8-inch thread; users in regions with 3/8-inch stands need a thread adapter. It is a common spare for churches, schools, hire companies and conference venues, because stand clips are easily lost or broken when microphones are moved between rooms. The clamp is black plastic with the Sennheiser logo and a thumb screw for adjusting the angle. Only the clamp is supplied, with a two-year Sennheiser warranty; microphones and stands are sold separately.
