The Sennheiser XS Lav Foam Windshield (article 509296) is a replacement foam windscreen for Sennheiser's XS Lav USB-C and XS Lav Mobile clip-on lavalier microphones. These small omnidirectional lapel mics are used for vlogging, interviews, online meetings, content creation and mobile journalism, plugging straight into a phone, tablet or computer. The foam cover slips over the microphone capsule to reduce wind noise when recording outdoors and to soften breath noise and plosives when the mic is clipped close to the mouth, and it also protects the capsule from dust and moisture. Foam windshields are small and easily lost or worn, so a spare is useful for anyone who records regularly with an XS Lav. Sennheiser lists the pack contents as one XS Lav Foam Windshield and gives a two-year warranty. It is not designed for other lavalier microphones.
