The Sennheiser XSW 2-865-B is a complete UHF wireless vocal set from the XS Wireless 2 range, pairing a handheld transmitter fitted with the e 865 supercardioid condenser capsule with a half-rack EM XSW 2 receiver. It is aimed at singers, bands, churches and venues that want a detailed condenser vocal sound without cables. The system operates in the B range of 614 to 638 MHz, so confirm the band is legal where you will use it. The double superheterodyne receiver offers pilot-tone squelch, a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 103 dB(A), a switchable line/mic output level, and both balanced XLR (+12 dBu) and unbalanced 6.3 mm jack (+6 dBu) outputs for direct connection to a mixer. Audio frequency response is 50 Hz to 16 kHz and the handheld runs on two AA batteries for about 10 hours. The receiver measures approximately 200 x 42 x 127 mm and can be mounted in a 19-inch rack with the optional XS Wireless rack kit.
