The Sennheiser XSW 2-ME2-B is a complete UHF wireless lavalier (clip-on) microphone system from the XS Wireless 2 range, built for presenters, lecturers, video producers and houses of worship who need discreet, hands-free speech pickup. The set includes a half-rack EM XSW 2 receiver, an SK XSW bodypack transmitter and the ME 2 omnidirectional clip-on condenser microphone. It operates in the B range of 614 to 638 MHz; check that this band is permitted in your area. The receiver is a double superheterodyne design with pilot-tone squelch, a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 103 dB(A), switchable line/mic level and both balanced XLR (+12 dBu) and unbalanced 6.3 mm jack (+6 dBu) outputs, so it plugs straight into a mixer, amplifier or camera audio input. Audio response is 50 Hz to 16 kHz. The bodypack runs on two AA batteries for about 10 hours. The receiver measures approximately 200 x 42 x 127 mm and accepts the optional XS Wireless rack-mount kit.
