The Sennheiser XSW-D Portable ENG Set is a compact 2.4 GHz digital wireless kit for videographers, journalists, vloggers and small production crews who need clean audio into a camera or recorder with almost no setup. It includes an XSW-D mini-jack receiver that mounts on the camera shoe, a mini-jack transmitter paired with the ME 2-II omnidirectional clip-on lavalier microphone, and an XLR female plug-on transmitter that turns a handheld or shotgun microphone into a wireless one, plus a coiled cable for connecting the receiver to the camera and mounting accessories. The system uses the aptX Live codec with latency under 4 ms, a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 106 dB and audio bandwidth of 80 Hz to 18 kHz. Each unit has a built-in lithium-ion battery giving up to 5 hours of use and charging over USB in about 3 hours. Operating frequency is 2,400 to 2,483.5 MHz, licence-free in most countries.
