Sommer Cable SC-MICRO-STAGE (article 200-0371) is a compact balanced microphone cable that is also rated for 110-ohm digital signals such as AES/EBU and DMX, sold by the metre from bulk. At 5.8 mm it is thinner than a standard stage cable, which suits stereo jack plugs and XLR connectors with a small cable entry, and it takes little space as a patch or MIDI cable in a rack or home studio. It has two 18-strand 0.14 mm² (AWG 26) oxygen-free copper conductors in foamed skin PE insulation, a dense helical copper screen with 100 % coverage and a cold-flexible, soft black PVC jacket. Sommer states it carries analogue and 110-ohm digital signals over distances greater than 100 metres. Capacitance is 45 pF/m between conductors and 120 pF/m to the screen. It weighs about 50 g per metre, is UV resistant and is rated from -25 to +80 °C. Typical uses are stage and studio microphone leads, short DMX links and AES digital interconnects.
