Sommer Cable SC-Quantum QMC04 (100-0451-04) is a highly flexible 4-pair multicore cable for building analogue and digital audio looms, stage multicores and permanent installations. Each of the four pairs of 0.14 mm² (AWG 26) superfine oxygen-free copper conductors is individually tube-insulated, numbered and screened by a helical copper mesh with 99 % coverage, so channels stay separated and can be earthed separately or centrally. With a low 45 pF wire-to-wire capacitance it stays within the 110 Ω AES/EBU standard over long runs, so it also suits digital audio and DMX. The soft, notch-resistant black S-PVC jacket (10.2 mm diameter) is cold-flexible down to -30 °C and the cable is torsion-free, so it can be coiled in a figure-of-eight without twisting. The pairs are thin enough to terminate directly into XLR connectors. Weight is 131.4 g per metre. Typical users are live sound engineers, studios and installers.
