Sommer Cable SC-Isopod SO-F22 (article 200-0401) is a slim foil-screened two-core cable, 3.3 mm in diameter, sold by the metre from bulk. It is designed mainly for internal wiring of racks, switching cabinets and audio and hi-fi components, where its 'memory effect' lets it be bent around corners and stay put for a tidy loom. It has two pre-stranded 0.22 mm² (AWG 24) conductors of 7 strands each in PE insulation, a pre-stranded tin-plated drain wire for quick termination, and an aluminium/PET foil screen for 100 % coverage that peels away with the jacket when stripped. The black PVC jacket is robust for long life. Capacitance is 74 pF/m between conductors and 143 pF/m to the screen, conductor resistance 88 ohm per km. It weighs about 16 g per metre, is UV resistant and is rated from -25 to +70 °C. It is a fixed-installation cable rather than a flexible stage lead, so it is not the right choice for microphone cables that are coiled every day.
