This is a Stage Plus premade 2 metre black data cable (SP-CABBIA3MXA3FX002S) built on Sommer Cable's SC-Binary 234, a 110-ohm cable designed for digital signals. Stage Plus is AV Distribution's South African house brand, and it assembles premade cables in-house for stages, venues, rental companies and installers who want a ready-to-use, tested cable. SC-Binary 234 has 2 x 0.34 mm² conductors, 110-ohm wave impedance, low capacitance (under 63 pF/m between wires), a helical copper screen plus aluminium-vaporised fleece for strong shielding, and a tough jacket rated from -25 to +70 degrees Celsius. Sommer specifies it for AES/EBU digital audio and DMX lighting networks, indoors and out. The cable is terminated with an Amphenol AC3MM three-pole male XLR and an Amphenol AC3F three-pole female XLR, so it suits 3-pin DMX fixtures, AES/EBU digital audio links between consoles, processors and amplifiers, and other 3-pin XLR data connections where a normal microphone cable would degrade the signal.
