This Stage Plus premade instrument cable is a 1 m lead with an Amphenol ACPM-GN 6.35 mm (1/4-inch) mono jack plug on both ends, assembled by Stage Plus, AV Distribution's in-house cable brand, on Sommer Cable's Tricone MKII instrument cable. Tricone MKII has a 0.22 mm2 conductor of fine tin-plated copper strands for flexibility and resistance to breakage, Skin-PE insulation, and dual shielding with a helical copper screen plus a conductive carbon layer to suppress handling noise and interference, which matters with the high-impedance, unbalanced signal from guitar and bass pickups. At 1 m this is a short lead, typically used as a patch cable between effects pedals and a pedalboard, between a keyboard or drum module and a nearby DI box, or from an instrument to an amplifier placed right beside the player. A short run also helps preserve high-frequency detail from passive pickups compared with a long cable. The cable is black. It is an instrument lead and should not be used as a loudspeaker cable between an amplifier and a speaker cabinet.
