This Stage Plus premade instrument cable is a 20 m lead for connecting electric guitars, basses and keyboards to amplifiers, pedalboards, DI boxes and stage boxes. It is assembled by Stage Plus, AV Distribution's in-house cable brand, on Sommer Cable's Tricone MKII instrument cable and fitted with Amphenol ACPM-GN 6.35 mm (1/4-inch) mono jack plugs at both ends. Tricone MKII has a generous 0.22 mm2 conductor made of fine tin-plated copper strands for high flexibility and resistance to breakage, Skin-PE insulation for good electrical values, and dual shielding with a helical copper screen plus a conductive carbon layer for full protection against handling noise and interference. It is a robust, flexible cable designed for live use, so it coils easily and stands up to being stepped on and wound up night after night. The 20 m length is long enough for large stages, or for reaching a backline or stage box across a venue, though a shorter cable is recommended wherever possible to preserve high-frequency detail from passive pickups.
