This Stage Plus premade microphone cable (SP-CABSTA3MXA3FX002S) is a 2 m balanced XLR lead, assembled in South Africa by Stage Plus with an Amphenol AC3MM 3-pole male XLR at one end and an Amphenol AC3F 3-pole female XLR at the other, on black Sommer Cable 'Stage' microphone cable. It is the standard lead for connecting dynamic and condenser microphones, DI boxes, stage boxes and line-level equipment in live sound, churches, schools and studios, and short lengths like this are handy for patching within racks, on mic stands or between stage boxes and wedges. Sommer's Stage 22 Highflex cable uses two 0.22 mm² (AWG 24) oxygen-free copper conductors of 28 fine strands, foam-PE insulation and a 100 % copper spiral shield, in a highly flexible 6.5 mm PVC jacket with high UV resistance, rated from -25 to +80 degrees C. The Amphenol AC3MM male has machined contacts and a nickel finish (comparable to Neutrik NC3MX), while the AC3F female is black with gold-plated contacts (comparable to Neutrik NC3FX).
