This Stage Plus premade microphone cable is a 15 m balanced XLR lead assembled in South Africa by Stage Plus, the in-house cable and staging brand of AV Distribution. It uses Sommer Cable's SC-Stage 22 Highflex microphone cable, a two-core 0.22 mm2 cable with a thick 6.4 mm soft PVC jacket that resists pulling, tearing and knotting, fine tightly stranded conductors for low capacitance and a dense copper spiral shield with about 99% optical coverage. The ends are fitted with Amphenol connectors: an AC3MM male XLR at one end and an AC3F female XLR at the other, the standard orientation for running a microphone to a stage box, mixer or wall plate. At 15 metres it suits stage runs from a vocal or instrument microphone to a snake, mixing desk or multicore, as well as church, school and conference installations. The flexible cable is easy to coil and reel, which makes it a practical choice for hire companies and touring bands. The cable is black and is also suitable for balanced line-level signals between XLR-equipped equipment.
