This Stage Plus premade patch cable (SP-CABSTA3MXTS3P005S) is a 5 m balanced lead with an Amphenol AC3MM 3-pole male XLR at one end and an Amphenol TS3P 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) three-pole stereo (TRS) phone plug at the other, assembled by Stage Plus in South Africa on black Sommer Cable Stage 22 Highflex two-conductor microphone cable. An XLR-to-TRS lead like this carries balanced line-level signals between equipment with different connector types, for example from a mixer's TRS outputs to a powered speaker, amplifier or processor with XLR inputs, or from a device's XLR output into a TRS line input on an interface or mixer. Sommer's Stage 22 Highflex has two 0.22 mm2 (AWG 24) oxygen-free copper conductors, a copper spiral screen with 100% optical coverage, and a tough 6.5 mm black PVC jacket rated from -25 to +80 degrees C, with low 70 pF/m conductor-to-conductor capacitance. The 5 m length suits stage and rack-to-desk runs.
