This Stage Plus premade power cable is a 10 m mains extension lead built with H07-rated rubber cable of 3 x 1.5 mm2, terminated with a 16 A Janus connector at one end and a plug top at the other. It is assembled by Stage Plus, AV Distribution's in-house cable and power-distribution brand, for event, stage and rental use in South Africa. H07 rubber cable (commonly H07RN-F) is a heavy-duty, flexible cord intended for harsh conditions: it is tougher and more oil and abrasion resistant than PVC extension cord, stays flexible in the cold and is suitable for temporary power on stages, outdoor events and building sites. A 1.5 mm2 conductor size suits general 16 A circuits for speakers, lighting and backline over this length. Stage and AV crews use leads like this to feed power boxes, amplifier racks, lighting and powered speakers from a distribution board. Always use a qualified electrician for anything beyond plug-and-play connection, and do not exceed the rating of the plug, socket or cable.
