This Stage Plus premade speaker cable is a short 1 m loudspeaker lead with Amphenol SP4FNSG 4-pole speaker connectors at both ends, built on Sommer Cable's Elephant SPM425 speaker cable. Stage Plus is AV Distribution's in-house cable and staging brand. The Elephant SPM425 is a heavy-duty four-core speaker cable with 4 x 2.5 mm2 oxygen-free copper conductors (78 strands of 0.20 mm per core) inside a thick 10.2 mm black PVC jacket, designed for stage and live use, mobile indoor and outdoor systems, installation and 100 V line work. Four cores allow bi-amped systems or two separate channels to run in one cable, while 2.5 mm2 conductors keep power loss low. Amphenol's SP-series 4-pole locking speaker connectors mate with the widely used speakON-style NL4 sockets found on amplifiers and passive loudspeakers. The 1 m length makes it ideal for linking stacked speakers, jumping between an amplifier and a nearby cabinet, or short runs inside a rack or flightcase. The cable weighs about 183 g per metre.
