This is a Stage Plus premade 10 metre loudspeaker cable, assembled by AV Distribution's Stage Plus house brand, fitted with an Amphenol SP-4-FNSG 4-pole loudspeaker cable connector at each end on Sommer Cable's SC-Elephant 425 speaker cable in black. It is used to connect power amplifiers to passive PA speakers, subwoofers and stage monitors that have 4-pole speakON-type sockets, in live sound, touring, rental, church and installation systems. The Sommer Elephant SPM425 cable has four 2.5 mm² conductors of high-purity oxygen-free copper with fine litz stranding, giving low resistance over longer runs and allowing either a single speaker on two conductors or bi-amp/two-channel use on all four. Amphenol's SP series connectors are rugged 4-pole female cable connectors that mate with standard speakON-compatible chassis sockets; the SP-4-FNSG variant has solder contacts and a PG-type cable gland for secure strain relief, and is rated at 30 A per contact with 5,000 mating cycles. Because it is ready-made and tested, it saves crews the time of soldering their own cables.
