This Stage Plus premade speaker cable is a 5 m black loudspeaker lead fitted with an Amphenol EP5 male connector on one end and an Amphenol EP5 female connector on the other, made up with Elephant 525 speaker cable. EP-series connectors are rugged, locking multi-pin circular connectors widely used in professional sound reinforcement to link power amplifiers to loudspeakers and to daisy-chain speaker cabinets, where their latching shells stop connections from being pulled loose on stage. A male-to-female lead like this is typically used as an extension or link between an amplifier rack, a stage box and a speaker cabinet with EP5 sockets. Stage Plus is AV Distribution's South African house brand of locally assembled cables, built to order from branded connectors and bulk cable, which lets rental companies, touring crews, churches and installers buy ready-terminated, tested leads of a specific length instead of making their own. The 5 m length suits connections between speakers on the same side of a stage or from a nearby amplifier rack. Check the pin wiring used on your amplifier and speakers before connecting, since EP5 pin assignments vary between systems.
