The Stage Plus SA 16A 3 Pin Rubber Plug Top (SP-CON-SA16AP) is a rewireable, rubber-bodied male mains plug in the standard South African 16 A three-round-pin pattern, from Stage Plus, the South African staging, rigging and power-distribution brand distributed by AV Distribution. Stage, event and installation crews use it to terminate extension leads, power feeds and equipment cables so they can be plugged into South African 16 A outlets, including the SA outlets on Stage Plus power distribution units. A rubber body is preferred over hard plastic for touring and outdoor work because it withstands being dropped, stood on, driven over and handled in cold conditions without cracking, which is where standard household plug tops tend to fail. It suits flexible rubber cables such as H07RN-F used for temporary power. Stage Plus does not publish the cable entry diameter or terminal details for this part, so confirm cable compatibility with the supplier before use. It pairs with the matching Stage Plus SA 16A rubber double sided coupler (listed separately). Mains plugs must be wired by a competent person to the applicable wiring regulations.
