The Stage Plus Universal OV30/40 Square Base Plate (SP-TFL-UNI-OVBP-SQU500) is a 500 x 500 mm floor plate for standing OV-series aluminium truss upright. It is used for truss towers, goal-post frames, lighting booms and exhibition structures. Stage Plus is a South African manufacturer of truss and staging equipment that builds the OV range under licence from Total Solutions Group. Stage Plus says its OV base plates are made from 8 mm steel with an electroplated finish, with structural-grade 6082-T6 male and female connectors and locating pins for easy, repeatable fitting, and that truss can be mounted centrally or in a corner of the plate. As a universal plate it is intended for both 30 cm (OV30) and 40 cm (OV40) square truss. Stage Plus sells separate OV30/40 base plate couplers (male TFL-OV30BPC-M and female TFL-OV30BPC-F); confirm with the supplier whether couplers are included with this plate. Heavy steel plates like this give a low, stable footprint, but tall towers still need ballast or bracing as the load tables require.
