Synology 12-bay 2U rackmount NAS - Intel Xeon CPU; scalable up to 864TB; up to 48GB memory; GPU cards support.

This is a Synology 12-bay 2U rackmount NAS from the enterprise xs/xs+ line — the same rack chassis family as the RS4826xs+ elsewhere in this range, just an earlier or lower tier within it. The catalog's own figures (up to 864TB total raw capacity, up to 48GB memory) line up closely with Synology's RS3618xs/RS3621xs+ generation of 12-bay 2U units, which scale to 36 total drives via two RX1217/RX1217RP expansion units — 36 bays x 24TB drives works out to exactly 864TB, a strong match for the stated maximum capacity — built around a single Intel Xeon D-series processor (Xeon D-1521 or D-1541 depending on the exact model/generation).

More Info

Worth flagging honestly: Synology's own published spec sheets for both the RS3618xs and RS3621xs+ list a 64GB memory ceiling (4x16GB DIMMs), not the 48GB this catalog listing states — the exact model in this specific listing couldn't be confirmed with full certainty against that one figure, so treat the memory ceiling as this listing's own stated value rather than a fully cross-verified spec. What's solid: this is a genuine enterprise 2U rackmount NAS aimed at SMB and mid-size business file storage, backup targets, and virtualization datastores, running Synology's DSM operating system with Btrfs, Snapshot Replication, and full RAID support, with 10GbE networking and PCIe expansion slots for additional networking or storage cards, and full power-supply redundancy for business-continuity deployments.
