The Garmin Tactix 8 AMOLED (51mm) is the larger-cased, non-solar AMOLED tactical smartwatch in the current Tactix 8 range, built for military and law enforcement users who want the biggest AMOLED screen in the lineup with more onboard storage. It uses a 1.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen (454 x 454px) inside a 51mm case (14.7mm thick, 92g) made of fibre-reinforced polymer with a titanium back and a DLC-coated titanium bezel. Battery life runs up to 29 days in smartwatch mode, including up to 13 days with the always-on display enabled, and up to 41 days in Battery Saver Watch Mode. It carries 32GB of internal storage for maps and music, connects via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and ANT+, and includes a built-in speaker and microphone for voice features. It comes preloaded with the Applied Ballistics Ultralight solver, is tested to US MIL-STD-810 standards for thermal, shock and water resistance, and supports diving to 40 metres. This 51mm AMOLED model suits buyers who want the largest AMOLED screen and most onboard storage without solar charging; those who want the longest possible field endurance should choose the Tactix 8 Solar or Tactix 8 Elite Solar 51mm instead.
