The Toshiba HDEB034GEA51F is the 24TB MG11-series enterprise drive (MG11ACA24TE), the top capacity in Toshiba's Enterprise Capacity MG Series. It is aimed at data centres, file and object storage, large NAS arrays and surveillance or backup systems where maximum terabytes per bay keeps hardware and power costs down. MG11 uses a helium-sealed 10-disk design with Flux Control Microwave Assisted Magnetic Recording (FC-MAMR) to reach 2.4TB per platter, while remaining a conventional magnetic recording (CMR) drive suited to RAID. It spins at 7,200 rpm, carries a 1 GiB buffer and connects over SATA 6Gb/s. Toshiba rates it for 24/7 operation with a 550 TB/year workload and 2.5 million hours MTTF. Toshiba also designs MG11 to switch between 512e and 4Kn sector formats by reformatting, useful when mixing older and newer systems. Supplied as a bare drive without cables or mounting screws.
