This Total Fabrications OV30/40 base plate coupler (supplier code TFL-UNI-OVBPC-M) is a male conical coupler used to stand OV-series aluminium truss on a base plate. The OV range from Total Solutions Group, built in South Africa under licence by Stage Plus, is a system of 30 cm (OV30) and 40 cm (OV40) square and triangular trusses joined with conical connectors, pins and R-clips; the couplers let the truss chords be pinned quickly and rigidly to each other or to accessories. A base plate coupler is fitted to a truss base plate, such as Stage Plus's universal OV30/40 base plate, so that an upright truss tower, goal-post leg, lighting boom or exhibition column can be pinned directly onto the plate.
