The Total Fabrications OV30 0.25 m section (TFL-OV30-025) is a short 30 cm square (quad) aluminium truss section from the OV truss range. Stage Plus manufactures it in South Africa under licence from the UK's Total Solutions Group. Short sections like this are used to make up exact spans, stand a lighting truss off a base plate, or add a few centimetres between corners and longer lengths in stage, exhibition, church and event rigs. The OV30 range uses 48.3 x 2.6 mm main chords in EN AW-6082 T6 structural aluminium with special extrusion braces. Sections join with conical connectors secured by TFC pins and R3 clips, with every length male at one end and female at the other. Per Total Solutions' published data, the 0.25 m section measures 250 x 300 x 300 mm and weighs about 3.1 kg. The OV range is designed to current Eurocodes and manufactured to EN 1090-1. Loads must follow the manufacturer's load tables and be planned by a competent rigger.
