This is a 3.0 m straight section of Total Fabrications OV30 aluminium truss (order code TFL-OV30-300), a 30 cm square box truss. OV truss is manufactured in South Africa by Stage Plus under licence from Total Solutions Group. It is designed to current Eurocodes, with a greater loading capacity for its self-weight, and the published load data includes a 15 percent derating factor. Every length has male connectors on one end and female on the other, joined with conical connectors for quick, rigid assembly and fewer loose parts, while all corner blocks are female, so the brace pattern stays continuous through a run. Matching OV corners, base plates and couplers are available separately. It is used for lighting and speaker rigs, exhibition stands, conference sets, goal-post structures and stage roofs. OV30 is the lighter, more compact of the two OV sizes and suits smaller rigs, stands and podiums. Stage Plus lists the 3.0 m OV30 section at 17.8 kg, and its drawing shows the OV30 section measuring about 302 mm across the chords.
