The TP-Link Archer T3U is a compact dual-band AC1300 Wi-Fi adapter for laptops and desktops that need a faster or more reliable wireless connection. At about 40 mm long it barely sticks out of a USB port, so it can stay in a laptop in a bag. It connects at up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 400 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, and MU-MIMO lets it work efficiently with modern routers when many devices share the network. SuperSpeed USB 3.0 means the port does not slow down the wireless link, and it still works in USB 2.0 ports. Security covers WEP and WPA/WPA2. TP-Link lists support for Windows 10/8.1/8/7/XP and Mac OS X. This is a cheap fix for an old PC whose built-in Wi-Fi only uses the crowded 2.4 GHz band.
