The TP-Link Archer T4E is a dual-band AC1200 Wi-Fi card that slots into a spare PCI Express slot to give a desktop PC fast, stable wireless without trailing a USB dongle. It connects at up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, using 802.11ac with 2x2 MIMO and beamforming to push the signal towards your router. Two detachable dual-band antennas mount on the bracket, and an aluminium heatsink covers the board. TP-Link supplies both a full-height and a low-profile bracket, so the card fits standard towers as well as slim small-form-factor office PCs. Security covers WEP, WPA/WPA2 and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK. It's a sensible upgrade for a home or office desktop in a room the network cable doesn't reach, or for anyone replacing an older, slower Wi-Fi adapter. In the box: the Archer T4E card with antennas, a low-profile bracket, a quick installation guide and a resource CD. TP-Link lists Windows 10/8.1/8/7/XP support.
