The TP-Link TL-SG2428P is a 28-port Omada smart switch for small and medium businesses that need to power and manage a lot of PoE devices from one rack unit. It has 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports, all 802.3af/at PoE+, sharing a 250 W PoE budget, plus 4 Gigabit SFP slots for fibre uplinks between buildings or to a core switch. That makes it a good fit for an office full of IP phones, a CCTV system with many cameras, or a multi-access-point Wi-Fi rollout. As part of TP-Link's Omada SDN range it can be managed centrally with the Omada Cloud-Based Controller, an OC200/OC300 hardware controller or the free software controller, alongside Omada access points and routers, or standalone via its web interface and CLI. Business features include 802.1Q VLANs, QoS with 8 priority queues and Voice VLAN, LACP link aggregation, STP/RSTP/MSTP, IGMP snooping, ACLs, 802.1X, DHCP snooping and static routing.
