The TP-Link VIGI NVR1004H is a compact 4-channel network video recorder for a small shop, office or home running up to four VIGI or ONVIF IP cameras. This is the non-PoE model: cameras connect through a separate PoE switch or their own power supplies, and the NVR has a single 10/100 Mbps network port. It records up to 8MP per camera (two channels at 8MP, or all four at 4MP) using H.265+ to stretch storage. One internal SATA bay takes a surveillance hard drive of up to 10 TB (drive not included). HDMI output goes up to 4K, and a VGA output can run at the same time, so you can view live feeds or play back four channels at once on a monitor or TV. It handles motion, line-crossing, intrusion, human and vehicle alarms, and you manage it through the VIGI app, a web browser or VIGI Security Manager. It draws just 4.25 W without a disk.
