The Verbatim Executive Fingerprint Secure SSD 1TB is a portable external solid state drive with a built-in fingerprint reader and 256-bit AES hardware encryption, for professionals who carry sensitive business, legal, medical or personal files between office, home and client sites. Data is locked until an enrolled fingerprint is read on the sensor on top of the drive, so a lost or stolen drive does not expose its contents. It connects over USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) through a USB Type-C port, with Verbatim quoting about 344 MB/s read and 356 MB/s write, and it is powered from the USB port with no external power supply. The slim grey aluminium and plastic enclosure measures 111 x 40 x 13 mm and weighs about 58.5 g. The box includes a USB-C cable with a USB-A connection option, a manual, and Nero Backup software.
