The Verbatim Vi3000 512GB (part 49374) is an internal M.2 2280 solid state drive using the PCIe Gen 3 x4 interface and the NVMe protocol, aimed at upgrading laptops, desktop PCs and small-form-factor systems that have an NVMe-capable M.2 slot. It replaces a hard drive or older SATA SSD to give much faster boot, application loading and file transfer times. Verbatim rates it at up to 3,100 MB/s sequential read and 2,100 MB/s sequential write, with random 4K performance of up to 150,000 read and 100,000 write IOPS, which is several times faster than any SATA drive and useful for photo and video editing, gaming and general multitasking. The single-sided card measures 80 x 22 x 2.3 mm and weighs only 6.5 g, so it also fits thin notebooks. It operates from 0 to 70 degrees C. A quick start guide is included in the box; mounting screws are normally supplied by the host system. Note it needs an M.2 slot wired for PCIe/NVMe - it will not work in a SATA-only M.2 slot.
